Children's Hockey Sticks Recalled By Bauer

Comments Off

Bauer Hockey Inc. announced a recall of Youth and Junior Hockey Sticks, Shafts and Blades in the U.S. and Canada due to excessive levels of lead in the undercoat paint and decals.

While no illnesses have been reported, the company stopped sales and initiated a voluntary recall of these products in cooperation with the CPSC and Health Canada.

The hockey and goalie sticks, shafts and blades are available in various colors, shapes and sizes. The name “Bauer” and the model descriptions can be found on all the sticks. Most also have the Nike symbol.

The CPSC Web site has a complete list of hockey sticks, shafts and blades that are involved in the recall.

Consumers are advised to take the recalled products away from children and to contact the company for a replacement or refund.

For more information, call Bauer toll-free at (888) 734-0443, or visit their Web site at http://www.bauer.com/recall.
